PET DOORS
Mobile Glass & Glazing offer two different makes of pet door suitable for small and large pets. With its 4 way locking feature, easy to clean, unobtrusive appearance and durability it is virtually unbreakable due to its Polycarbonate construction. You can eliminate common problems such as broken flaps, closing systems, noise, rusting screws and sealing problems.
Price varies depending where and how large the area is. Holes are not able to be cut into existing sliding door and fixed panels as it is toughened safety glass. Unfortunately you will need to re-order the panel with a specific cut out for the pet door. Sizing is very important if the opening is not exact, adjustments can not be made after toughened glass. It is best to call Mobile Glass & Glazing and we will be more than happy to measure up the panel for accuracy. Toughened Glass can get a little pricy; it depends on the size of the panel. However Toughened Glass has a high level of impact resistance and is a safer option. There is an alternative, normally five float glass is found in majority of existing homes. We can reuse your existing glass panel and install your pet door. It is a cheaper option but this type of glass shatters into shards and is not suitable to withstand a racing pet through the pet door.
CLEANING INSTRUCTION: Remove the door from where it is installed and wash in soapy water using a soft cloth. Do not apply spray or lubricants.
Tip: If you are unsure whether your fully grown dog will be able to fit through the Transcat Dog Door we recommend that you make a cardboard template and see if your dog can climb through comfortably. For puppies you should take advice from the breeder or other professionals as to what size your puppy is likely to grow.
The Transcat Small Dog Door has been manufactured in response to a need from dog owners. This product has been designed to meet that need and it has been widely accepted by consumers but new purchases should be aware that, when unlocked, the door opening could allow a small child to squeeze through.
